Where is the best location to keep your bird?

Safety, comfort, security, and entertainment or environment are important to consider when choosing the location of your bird's cage.

When it comes to safety, consider the following:

• away from toxins and fumes

• away from other pets

• safe temperatures

• away from extreme or rapid temperate changes

• away from direct heat or cold drafts

• away from windows and doors

• a secure base that will not tip

  
  

When it comes to comfort, consider the following:

• well lit, best with natural light

• ventilated area

• in a calm area, not chaotic or overwhelming

• in an area that isn't too loud and noisy

When it comes to security, consider the following:

• up against a wall or in a corner

• an enclosure area to sleep

• the bird can be slightly above eye level

When it comes to entertainment and environment, consider the following:

• a busy room, but not overwhelming

• a place where people spend time

• avoid isolated areas

• avoid crowed areas
